To get myself in the Christmas spirit I always bake up dozens of my homemade 100% whole wheat cinnamon rolls to give to neighbors and friends. They are so delish and you would never guess they are good for you! Recipe coming soon...
For as long as I can remember my family and I visit my Grandpa and Grandma Farrell just before Christmas. This year was a little different than usual because my Grandma recently developed Alzheimer's and Grandpa is blind. Grandma had the same warm smile and Grandpa had the same old but good stories. He likes to tell jokes, make people laugh and my Grandma blush. The only thing I missed was Grandpa's fudge.
This year for our Ward Christmas party we put on a play accompanied by the story of Luke 2. We held it at our friends ranch and built a magical stable. All the kids beautifully sang Picture a Christmas. Kennedy was Mary, Logan was Joseph and Sy, Hayden and Jaren were the three wise men. It was an awesome night. I think this is going to be a new tradition.

In Flagstaff, Arizona
The week before Christmas we headed up to some common ground in Flagstaff for some much needed R&R in the snowy mountains! We invited all our family and had a blast!
Where does this girl come from? She hopped on the $5 plastic, broken sled from Wal-Mart and started snowboarding like she had been doing it for years! Get it girl!
We were all so excited when Katie, Colt, and Cabella (her rescue dog) finally arrived! We miss you Sista (aka Hippie!)

Ed trying out his new Turbo for... wait for this... are you ready.... MY Christmas! HA!
The kids favorite part was when dad tied up the sled to the ranger. Blast!

Snow Bunnies!
The kids made a snowman at the entrance of the driveway welcoming all the very anticipated guests! They called him "Snowy."
Girls play dirty too ;)
After a long ride in the ranger Dad and King warmed their feet by the fire. I love that King wants to be just like his dad! Melts Me.

Sweet Deedee and her Barbies! She loves them and I must admit, so do I! We have been playing non stop for 4 days!! "Okay girls, I get to be married to Ed(ward) this time!"
We celebrated Grandma Diane's 76th birthday with her favorite chocolate/chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Happy Birthday Granny D!
Ahhhh, my all time favorite... Gingerbread Houses! I think it is the interior decorator in me! This time we used mom's style with graham crackers. So much easier! I had to refrain from making King's "pretty."
Kaili decided to string popcorn for the Charlie Brown Christmas tree.
The day we left the cabin... They were all sleep deprived and on each others nerves! Can you tell?
Just like dad!
