Happy Halloween

Carving pumpkins is sure a lot easier than it used to be. This year the girls did everything but cut the tops off! Kingston insisted on no help, but that didn't happen! Grandma Diane was over for a girls week while dad was out of town. Grandma would come over every year when I was little to help us with our pumpkins. I love when those traditions continue!

Kingston Kept saying, "Take a picture of me mom...CHEEEESE!"

Okay, so I dropped the ball AGAIN this year! We held the annual Halloween Bash at our Haunted House and with dad gone and a party for 200, I was a bit frazzled. No time for pictures! Blah! Kendra is already in a tween stage and is too cool for costumes, but still likes to be festive. Thank goodness. She wore a petty skirt with black and neon pink stripped tights, a black shirt and topped it off with a witches hat. Well done! Kaili was an "Airbender." Kennedy was a beautiful princess.

The only reason I was able to snap these pictures of King was because he had woken up from a much needed nap halfway through the party and I snuck inside to get him dressed and snap a shot of my brave Knight, Sir Kingston! The party was a hit and everyone had a great time. We had the usual soup and cobbler potluck. Candy walk, face painting, a fishing swamp, and a spooky hayride. This year our friends, the Riggs', brought a "spook" trailer. They transformed a cattle trailer into a haunted house. It had fog, lights, gas torches, and real zombies (Tracy, and her kids!) You could hear her give out the most impressive Witch Scream all the way down the street. She did this for an hour! We ended the night with Trunk or Treat.

That night ,after I got dressed and I must say feeling quite confidant in my costume selection, Kaili said,"Mom you are supposed to have blood on your mouth!" No, honey... I am Red Riding Hood, not a Vampire. Dang!

I thought I would take a picture of their actual Halloween Costumes!
