The Holiday's to me mean traditions, family, and fun! My home is always decorated for the season and welcomes anyone willing to stop by. I fondly remember visiting a wonderful woman's, Lorraine Ethington, home frequently as a new bride. Her home was always warm, welcoming and open for all anytime (literally!)She would quickly greet her uninvited guests before they even got out of the car and insisted they stay for dinner. We had so many wasted dinners in the crock-pot at home. No matter the crowd she always had enough. Her example has blessed my home forever.
This year Ed and I had a little Turkey competition! We were recently invited to a friends home who served smoked turkey. It was so delish that Ed now wants to smoke everything! So Ed took his turkey over to his buddies to be smoked. I used the trusty oven... He won!

After our feast we sit by the fire and talk about our many family traditions. Things we have done in the past and things we hope to do in the future. We usually play games and tease each other. This year my brother, the jokester, suggested we start doing "Roasts" of each other as a tradition! No Way Drew!
As part of my Mom's Ho Ho Ho Holiday calendar we always have an adult night out to kick off the Christmas season. In the past we have gone to concerts, plays, movies, Christmas lights and this year we went to see Jim Gaffigan, a stand up comedian. He was very funny! My parents also took us to Bill Johnson's, a restaurant we grew up going to. Thanks Mom and Dad!
