Summer Garden

LOOKS YUMMY!

Well, this year I decided to add another large raised planter to my garden. Thankfully my dad had retired earlier this year and had some spare time to help me! It was fun being able to spend time with him. We talked about our garden when I was little and that huge artichoke plant that just wouldn't die! I still remember my dad taking a shovel to the plant and chopping at it vigorously!

Every morning King and I go out and work in the garden. He loves being outside. So, while I cross pollinate the squash he sprays it all off with the hose. He is a real helper! Today Ed counted over 100 tomatoes already growing! So far we have strawberries, peppers, onions, potatoes, eggplant, herbs, peas, zucchini, squash, cucumber, green beans, cantaloupe, watermelon, and corn!
